Colorado AI Summit  (Thursday, April 17, 2025)

Overview:  UCCS in partnership with Catalyst Campus for Technology and Innovation (CCTI) organized an AI/ML event called Colorado AI Summit: Academia, Industry and Government, on 17 April 2025.  This event highlighted UCCS AI/ML student research in this exciting field.  Estimated Attendance: 90 – 100

It’s exciting to share that 6 of the 15 students presenting on behalf of the Computer Science Department at this summit are members of the Oluwadare Lab. Below are their names and the titles of their talks and posters.

  • H. M. A. Mohit Chowdhury: EmbedTAD: Using Graph Embedding and Unsupervised Learning to Identify TADs from High-Resolution Hi-C Data.
  • Sahil Thapa: ASPECT: Classifying Alternative Splicing Events with Transformers Model.
  • Mohankumar ChandrashekarUNICORN: Enhancing Single-Cell Hi-C Data with Blind Super-Resolution for 3D Genome Structure Reconstruction.
  • Samuel Olowofila: DiCARN-DNase: AI-Driven Hi-C Data Resolution Enhancement Using Dilated Residual Networks and DNase-Seq Data
  • Rohit Menon: ScHiCAtt: Enhancing Single-Cell Hi-C Data Resolution Using Attention-Based Models
  • Abhishek Pandeya: HiC-LEGO: Leveraging Ensemble Domains and Generalization of GNNs for Optimized 3D Hi-C Data Structure Reconstruction
