PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR
ooluwada@uccs.edu | 719-255-3004 | Engineering Building – ENG 244
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and hold a secondary faculty position in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine | Anschutz Medical Campus.
My research interests are in the following areas:
- Bioinformatics & Computational Biology
- Machine learning & Data Mining
- Deep Learning & Reinforcement Learning
Specifically, I focus on the research projects such as genome 3D structure prediction, chromosome and genome features extraction, and the application of machine learning algorithms to biological datasets. I developed a software app, called EyeCYou, that uses AI to provide the facial description of a person to the visually impaired. Find details here: EyeCYou for the visually impaired
